Our Story
Montclair Lumière didn’t start as just another tax company — it started from seeing how confusing and frustrating the process can be for everyday people.

As a veteran-owned firm, we built Montclair Lumière on discipline, structure, and doing things the right way — not cutting corners, not making promises we can’t keep, and not treating clients like just another number.

Hello, I go by Mike. I was born in Haiti and raised in Miami, and I’ve always had a passion for entrepreneurship.
After serving 10 years in the Army, I transitioned into the financial industry as a financial advisor. I spent a few years in that field before developing a strong interest in tax preparation and the impact it has on people’s everyday lives.
When I decided to build Montclair Lumière, it didn’t start big. I was driving Uber to fund the business and working out of my apartment, putting in long hours to get things off the ground. Over time, through consistency and hard work, the company began to grow.
What really made me fall in love with this work was the ability to truly help people — not just file taxes, but make a real difference in their financial situation. Being able to support families and give back to the community is what drives me every day.
Looking back, all the sleepless nights and sacrifices were worth it. We’ve been able to help hundreds of families, and that’s what this company is about — helping people and making an impact where it matters most.
